Dr. Kettman is highly involved with supporting charitable causes and serving the local community, but his compassion does not stop at the county, or even state lines.

After participating in a medical mission in Haiti, Dr. Kettman decided to make this passion a reality by starting a school near the village of Bois Rouge, which is difficult to find on a map but isn’t too far from Cap Haitian.

The school which was founded in 2017 is called Bel Avenir, which means ‘good fortune or good futures’. We currently have 63 students and 4 teachers.

We are providing 1 meal a day to the students.

With your support, we can make a real impact on helping these children in Haiti. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to creating positive change.

Cedar Valley Haiti Foundation is a charitable organization devoted to making the world a better place through various initiatives designed to help those in need.

Together, we can make a difference in the world for generations to come.

“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

-Winston Churchhill

Dr. Kettman partnered with Denis Edner, who is local pastor to start the development of the school. Denis also happens to be the school’s administrator.

The current status of the school is mostly a shack; recently starting the concrete foundations. Gil Irey has joined the partnership for the school. Gil is the CEO of Cedar Valley Medical Specialist. Dr. Kettman and Gil are planning a trip down there before the end of the 2019 to see the progress.

The estimated cost to build the school to build $25,000. We currently have a monthly budget for paying teachers and feeding students which is $1,250. Our goal is to expand and grow, as we are currently only teaching elementary.
